&TV presents the journey of makhanchor Kanha who became PARAMAVATAR SHREE KRISHNA

The by lanes of Gokul still reminisce the naughtiness and enchanting ways of Krishna! It's in this very town that Krishna stole makhan (butter) from most houses and shared it with his friends. But when confronted by his mother he never admitted the truth and had the whole town on its toes with his naughtiness. Yet this makhanchor was admired, loved and followed by one and all. But how did this little Kanha came to be worshiped as Paramavatar Shri Krishna? While we may have heard his stories before, do we know why did Krishna take birth as the 8th child of Devaki? Why did he steal makhan from various households? Why did he get the whole of Gokul to start worshipping Gowardhan Parvath instead of Indra dev? &TV answers many such questions and unfolds the stories of this Gokul ke Nandlal who came to revered as Lord Shri Krishna in the magnum opus PARAMAVATAR SHRI KRISHNA. Produced by Peninsula Pictures, the show premieres on 19th June and will air every Monday - Friday at 8.30 pm only on &TV.

A superhero in his own right, Krishna defied norms and charted out a new way of life. Since a young age, Krishna stunned his elders with profound philosophy and actions. Maan ke dekho mahima hai, dhyan se dekho leela hai... The show PARAMAVATAR SHRI KRISHNA will not only highlight different facets of Krishna's life but also depict the truest manifestation of making of a superhero. An avatar of Lord Vishnu, Krishna not only put an end to the evil Kans' tyranny but revolutionized the outlook of people. His teachings have been so impactful that they are relevant in today's times as well.

With lavish sets, intricate costumes and jewellery and advanced specials effects, the show promises to be a visual delight! The stellar ensemble cast will see the talented 4-year-old child artist, Nirnay Samadhiya essay the role of the natkhat kanhaiya. While the beautiful Gungun Uprari will play Yashodha, the talented Sachin Shroff will play Nand Baba. Joining them will be Neha Sargam as Lakshmi, Vishal Karwal as Vishnu, Gulki Joshi as Devaki, Chaitanya Chaudhary as Vasudev and Manish Wadhwa as Kans.

Speaking about the show, Vishal Karwal who plays Vishnu says, 'It is said that Krishna is one of the many avatars of Vishnu. Having played Krishna previously, in a way I have graduated with this role. I think the mytho genre has its own charm and I can't explain the burst of energy I feel whilst shooting for a mytho show. Lord Krishna for me was no less than a superhero and his story needs to be told again and again for the future generations to feel inspired.'

Speaking about the show, Neha Sargam who plays Laxmi says, 'With Paramavtar Shri Krishna, viewers will get to know various facets of Krishna's life with a fresh perspective. After a long time, the audience will get to see the making of Krishna as the God we worship and that's refreshing. All the 'whys' and 'hows' related to Krishna will be answered.'

Speaking about the show, Gungun Uprari who plays Yashodha says, 'I'm extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to play the role of Yashodha as it was my long-cherished dream to essay this character on-screen. Infact my mother has already started calling me Yashodha maiyya. The story of Krishna is something which we all have heard and known but with Paramavatar Shri Krishna our attempt is to present his journey from Kanha to the Lord Shri Krishna. The adorable little boy Nirnay who plays Krishna is a powerhouse of talent. Being a mother, I am extremely fond of kids and working with Nirnay has been an absolute delight.'

Speaking about the show, Sachin Shroff who plays Nanda baba says, 'It feels great to be associated with a show that will present Krishna's story as the making of a super hero. I look forward to essaying the character of Nand Baba who fostered Krishna. Being a parent myself, I can relate to the character of a father whose son Krishna charmed the people with his innocent yet meaningful naughtiness.'

Speaking about the show, Manish Wadhwa who plays Kans says, 'When we were conceptualizing the look of Kans, we wanted it to be extremely distinct and menacing to bring out his traits to the fore. As a character Kans is known for his atrocities and the level of cruelty. And this had to come out in a way that the audience simply hates the character. It has been extremely challenging to portray the character of Kans and I hope the audience appreciates the efforts. I am extremely happy about the fact that I am associated with a show that will chart the making of a superhero.'

With a strong cast and an endearing story, get set to witness the meaning of Krishna's leelas.
