NAB 2018 was as buzzing, thought-provoking and rewarding as we could have hoped. More and more visitors to our stand experienced cloud dubbing and witnessed how technology is changing the game for localization and digital distribution.

Now we've had a moment to get our breath back, here are some of the highlights that made NAB such an awesome event - starting with celebrations in Vegas!

IABM's BaM Awards 2018

In case you didn't hear… ZOO picked up the IABM's brand new BaM Award for our cloud dubbing services! (We've proudly labelled it our 'Bammy'…)

The awards celebrate technology innovators in the entertainment industry, so we're delighted by this third accolade in the last 12 months and further industry recognition for doing dubbing so completely differently.

In April, our dubbing platform won TV Technology's Best of Show Award at NAB 2017 followed by the Design and Innovation award for Post Production at IBC 2017.

ZOO is already using the platform to record in-territory in all key dubbing languages using a combination of traditional dubbing studios and controlled recording environments.

Gordon Doran, ZOO Digital's President said:

'The service is already changing the game for TV and movie content owners and we're delighted that our technology-based approach is receiving further recognition from the industry.

'This is the third award win in 12 months for ZOO's cloud dubbing service so we're incredibly proud of how far it's come in such a short space of time.'

Awesome dubbing demonstrations

ZOO's stand was kept super busy during our five days in Vegas with close contacts and intrigued passers-by keen to peek at our cloud dubbing platform and ask about the rest of our NAB innovations.

Julian Day, ZOO's Business Development Director for UK & Europe said:

'NAB is a huge show for us so it's really great when the reaction to our new services is so positive.

'We get the opportunity to show new and existing clients how we work with them and how we try to really understand their needs. Everything we do is about helping our clients reach audiences around the world more efficiently and with less pain, and I think people can see that.'

Talking cloud-powered innovation

Our VP of Sales for the Americas, Tony shared his thoughts on challenges facing the localization industry and why cloud technology is making such an impact.

During an interview with InBroadcast, Tony discussed the benefits of our new digital distribution planner, named Sandbox, for delivering content for different territories, file formats and technical specs.

Check out his interview with InBroadcast below.

As well as the industry's first cloud dubbing service, Team ZOO covered a number of brand new cloud-powered innovations and updates during the show in Vegas:

Didn't catch us?

Massive thanks from Team ZOO to everyone who made NAB 2018 such an awesome show.

But! If you didn't get a chance to catch up with the team in Vegas, don't fret. Team ZOO is very much back in business and can visit at any time for a full walk through - so let's talk.

We'll also be globetrotting again for events in Cannes and Singapore in the next couple months. We'd love to see you there.
