To Shine on the 'Belt and Road', Zoomlion Began Construction of Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park

On April 15th local time, Zoomlion held a grand foundation laying ceremony in the Sino-Belarus Industrial Park located in Minsk Oblast in Belarus, marking that Zoomlion formally started construction of Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park.

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Semashko, Belarusian Minister for Industry Vovk, head of delegation of Hunan Provincial Government and provincial Party secretary Du Jiahao, Chinese Ambassador to the Belarus Cui Qiming, Sino-Belarus Industrial Park's CEO Hu Zheng, Zoomlion's President Zhan Chunxin and Zoomlion's Vice President Xiong Yanming attended the foundation laying ceremony. Over 100 people from Chinese Consulate, Chamber of Commerce and many well-known enterprises from Hunan Province participated in the activities of the day.

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Semashko attended the foundation laying ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the project was an important achievement gained during establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between Belarus and China agreed by the two heads of state. He spoke highly of good economic relations between Belarus and China, especially the cooperation between Belarus and Hunan Province. Moreover, Semashko also said that the construction of Sino-Belarus Industrial Park was being advanced rapidly, preliminary foundation construction works had already been completed and all necessary infrastructure facilities would be built in the future one and half years.

During his speech, Du Jiahao, head of delegation of Hunan Provincial Government and provincial Party secretary, said that foundation laying for Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park project in Sino-Belarus Industrial Park not only was a major measure of Hunan Province to practically implement the results gained during exchanges of high-level visits and 'create a new era of comprehensive strategic partnership' agreed by the two heads of state, but also was an important achievement gained by Hunan through actively responding to China's 'Belt and Road' construction strategy and strengthening its economic cooperation with Belarus. He hoped that with the support and care from relevant parties like Belarusian Ministry of Industry and Minsk Oblast as always, Zoomlion could enhance planning demonstration and scientific design, carry out organization and implementation seriously, ensure project quality and put the industrial park into use as soon as possible to produce benefits, thus making Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park a shinning pearl of Sino-Belarus Industrial Park and even of 'Silk Road Economic Belt'. He also said that Hunan would take the construction of Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park as an opportunity to further deepen its cooperation with Belarusian local governments and relevant parties in fields like equipment manufacturing, energy resources and transportations, etc., thus strengthening the ties of common interests and working to achieve mutual benefits in a wider range and a higher and deeper level.

Zhan Chunxin, President of Zoomlion, expressed in his speech that Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park project was a concrete embodiment of the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between Belarus and China agreed by the two heads of state. He introduced that the project, with a total investment of USD 30 million, would cover an area of 200 mu and become a localized research & development and manufacturing base for equipment like concrete machineries, construction hoisting machineries, environmental & sanitation machineries and agricultural machineries, which would realize an annual sales revenue of USD 0.3 billion after being put into use. Finally, he said that Zoomlion would be bound to create more values and carry forward friendship for the two peoples in splendid Belarus under the support of both governments and efforts of various parties, thus setting up a model for Sino-Belarus economic cooperation.

It is learned that early in December of 2015, the first batch of products jointly invested by Zoomlion and the local well-known enterprise MAZ Group in Belarus were successfully produced, among which the 40t and 60t truck cranes as well as the 16t environmental & sanitation road sweeper were applauded by Belarusian Minister for Industry Mr. Vovk. In April of 2016, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited MAZ Group and acclaimed the first batch of ZOOMLION -MAZ products. Officially established in February of 2017, Zoomlion-MAZ joint venture marked an active and stable implementation of established business model in Belarus and would significantly promote the construction and operation of Zoomlion Sino-Belarus Industrial Park.

Witnessed by Hunan provincial Party secretary Du Jiahao and Mogilev Oblast Governor Domanevsky, Zoomlion's President Zhan Chunxin and Mogilev Oblast Vice-governor Nekrashevich signed a letter of intent to cooperate on integrated waste treatment project.

Except for cooperation with MAZ Group, Zoomlion is also initiatively seeking for cooperation in fields like environmental governance and agricultural machinery in Belarus. On April 14th of 2017 in Mogilev Oblast, witnessed by Hunan provincial Party secretary Du Jiahao and Mogilev Oblast Governor Domanevsky, Zoomlion's President Zhan Chunxin and Vice-governor Nekrashevich signed a letter of intent to cooperate on integrated waste treatment project.
