3 August 2015, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, has completed the construction of Equatorial Guinea's first communications training school in Oyala. The school, which will be run with ZTE's assistance, sees the Equatorial Guinean government usher in the new era of Smart Education, promoting the development of ICT-based education.

After completion, the school will train communications professionals to work for the Equatorial Guinean government. With more than 20 years of experience in knowledge service training, more than 100 professional senior lecturers in communications technologies, and 15 successful training centres worldwide, ZTE University will provide powerful knowledge service support and extensive operations management experience for the training school in Equatorial Guinea. After the project is completed, the network-wide communications laboratory built by ZTE will provide a comprehensive environment for students to practice cutting-edge technologies.

The project had an official completion ceremony on August 1 , 2015, Before Guinea's Independence Day, with President Obiang and his wife in attendance.

Mr. Gao Linfeng, ZTE's National Representative in Equatorial Guinea, said, "We are glad to help Equatorial Guinea train more communications professionals through the training school. Currently, ZTE iEducation solutions have been successfully used in more than 30 countries and regions, such as the Hubei Huanggang Education Valley in China , Egypt's distance education program, distance education in Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia's National Digital Library, Indonesia's IPTV education, distance education in Mozambique, and Equatorial Guinea's training school, with the aim to make education available to everyone.
