Analyst Update: Senior Appointment, New Conferences, Awards, Quarterly Results, and Upcoming Earnings

U.S. stocks mostly closed lower on Tuesday amid a mixed bag of earnings reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.47% to 17949.59, and the S&P 500 ended the session 0.15% lower at 2097.31. On a positive note, the NASDAQ gained 0.39% to close at 5014.10, mainly supported by big gains in biotechnology stocks amid strong M&A activities. European stocks continued their strong run on Tuesday. Major European markets closed the session higher, as Germany's DAX jumped 0.4%; Britain's FTSE 100 rose 0.15%, and France's CAC gained 0.10%. Meanwhile, Asian markets surged on Tuesday, recovering from their disappointing session on the previous day. The Shanghai Composite, Japan's Nikkei and Hong Kong's Hang Seng all posted positive gains.

Yahoo! Inc. reported that its Yahoo Autos digital magazine has a new leader, Sharon Carty, joining the team as editor-in-chief. Sharon has significant experience in the auto industry, with a background in digital media, which will help her lead a talented group of automotive experts including Managing Editor Justin Hyde, Editor-at-Large Alex Lloyd and Road Test Editor Aki Sugawara.

ServiceNow is kicking off its annual global conference, Knowledge15(R), at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The Knowledge15 conference, in its ninth year now, is expected to attract approximately 9,000 attendees from a variety of service domains across the enterprise, including IT, shared services, human resources, facilities and application development departments.

Oracle Corporation reported that APL Logistics has won Oracle's 2014 Travel and Transportation Industry Excellence Award, for offering customized technology solutions and applications that help customers analyze and optimize their supply chains. The Company's Logistics SuperSuite initiative-a global, enterprise-wide upgrade of its technology platforms-uses Oracle Value Chain Execution applications.

SouFun Holdings Ltd reported its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter of 2014, posting total revenue increase of 2.7% YoY to $223.0 million for the quarter and 10.3% YoY to $702.9 million for the full year. However, net income attributable to SouFun's shareholders decreased by 26.4% YoY to $82.5 million. For full year 2014, net income attributable to SouFun's shareholders also decreased by 15.2% YoY to $253.2 million.

Zynga Inc. reported that it will hold a conference call to discuss the financial results for its first quarter 2015 on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time (5:00 p.m. Eastern Time). The Company further informed that the conference call follows the release of its financial results which are scheduled after the close of market.
