Ampon Kittiampon

Ampon Kittiampon is currently the Chairman at the National Economic & Social Development Board since 2017.
He is also the Chairman at the Highland Research & Development Institute since 2012.
Additionally, he holds positions as a Director at the Board of Investment Thailand, a Trustee at Kasetsart University, a Member at the Thailand Office of The Council of State since 2006, a Member at the National Legislative Assembly since 2014, and a Member at The Office of Insurance Commission since 2016.
In his former roles, Dr. Kittiampon served as the Vice Chairman at PTT Exploration & Production Plc from 2011 to 2018.
He was also the Chairman at Thai Smile Airways Co., Ltd.
in 2014.
Furthermore, he held the position of Independent Director at PTT Public Co., Ltd.
from 2010 to 2011 and at Thai Airways International Public Co. Ltd.
from 2014 to 2014.
He was a Director at Bank of Thailand from 2004 to 2013.
Additionally, he served as a Director at PTT Aromatics & Refining Public Co. Ltd.
from 2005 to 2011.
He also held the role of Secretary General at the National Economic & Social Development Board from 2004 to 2010 and was a Civil Service Commissioner at the Office of the Civil Service Commission from 2004 to 2010.
Dr. Kittiampon obtained a doctorate degree from Clemson University, a graduate degree from Northeastern University, and an undergraduate degree from Kasetsart University.
