Francois-Henri Pinault is a French businessman, Francois Pinault's son. His father is also a French businessman, former chairman of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute and owner of football club Stade Rennes. According to Forbes, he was the fifth richest man in France in 2011. Francois Pinault is a great fan and a collector of modern and contemporary art.

Graduated from HEC in 1985, Francois-Henri Pinault began his career working in a company of his father.

He began in Pinault Distribution, a subsidiary specialized in importing and distribution of wood, which he established in 1988 the central purchasing. He became CEO of France Bois Industries, the company which groups Pinault’s industrial activities together. He managed 14 factories of the subsidiary until December 1990, when he came back to Pinault Distribution to become Chairman.

In 1993, he left to work abroad. Placed at the head of CFAO, he developed the company in Africa and in overseas territories. In 1997, he became chairman of FNAC. Important figure of the French establishment, he was quickly invited to various boards of directors.

In 2000, he was promoted Deputy Director General of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute in charge of developing the group’s internet activities.

In 2001, he became co-manager of Financière Pinault: his father is preparing his succession. In 2003, he is posted to chairman of Artemis.

In March 2005, he is posted to the head of the board of directors of PPR. On June 20, 2007 he became chairman of the board of directors of the German company Puma.
