His last name is printed on each sheet of cigarette paper OCB. Dating back over a century, the brand OCB also means “Odet-Cascadec-Bolloré”. According to the family legend, René Bolloré was the first to rent the mill of Cascadec powered by the river Isole and another one. It was in 1822, and the aim was to produce writing paper and cigarette paper.
Over a century later, Vincent Bolloré was born in Paris suburbs and began his career at the famous bank Rothschild. His attachment to his Breton roots and his family is present in the organization of the group: the capital of his holding company, Groupe Bolloré, is 65 % owned by Financière de l’Odet. The group holds different subsidiaries as Financière du Loch, Financière de Sainte-Marine, Financière Perguet, Guénolé Company. According to Challenges, his fortune was estimated in 2011 at 3.8 billion euros. This is the tenth French fortune.
