ABA - American Bankers Association : ABA Elects Officers, Board Members for 2012-2013

WASHINGTON - Members attending the American Bankers Association's annual convention in San Diego elected new officers and directors to serve on ABA's board for the 2012-2013 association year.  The new officers are: 

  • CHAIRMAN:  Matthew H. Williams, chairman and president, Gothenburg State Bank, Gothenburg, Neb.;

  • CHAIRMAN-ELECT:  Jeff L. Plagge, president and CEO, Northwest Financial Corp., Arnolds Park, Iowa;

  •  VICE CHAIRMAN:  John A. Ikard, president and CEO, FirstBank Holding Co., Lakewood, Colo.; and

  • TREASURER:  Gary D. Hemmer, president and CEO, First National Bank of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ill.

  • Stephen F. Christy, CEO, Mascoma Mutual Financial Services Corporation, Lebanon, N.H. (3-year term);

  • William M. Dana, Jr., president and CEO, Central Bank of Kansas City, Kansas City, Mo. (1-year at large term); 

  • David C. Darnell, Co-COO, Bank of America, Charlotte, N.C. (3-year term);
