December 2013's monthly index of economic activity, IMACEC.
According to preliminary information, in December 2013 the IMACEC rose 2.6% compared with the same month a year before. The seasonally-adjusted series increased 0.8% with respect to the previous month, and 2.2% in twelve months. The month came with one more working day than December 2012.
The result reflected, ainly, in rise in retail trade and entrepreneural and personal services.
In accordance with the calendar of National Accounts difussion, the 2013 GDP estimate, together with revisions to first-, second- and third-quarter figures will be disclosed next 18 March.
