Change of arrangements between Banco Santander S.A. and KBC Bank NV regarding the merger of Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. and Kredyt Bank S.A.
With reference to the current report no. 2/2012 dd. 28 February 2012, Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. ("the Bank") announce that on 17 December 2012 it learned from Banco Santander S.A., its majority shareholder, about the change of arrangements made with KBC Bank NV regarding the merger between the Bank and Kredyt Bank S.A. According to such information, Banco Santander S.A. and KBC Bank NV have agreed to withdraw the commitment from Banco Santander, S.A. to purchase from KBC Bank NV a 5% stake in the merged Bank, as mentioned in the communication by KBC Bank NV on 4 December 2012.
