BEIJING--China's exports surged 36.2% in February from a year earlier in yuan terms, following a 6.0% gain in January, official data showed Thursday.
Imports for February declined 0.2% in yuan terms from a year ago, compared with a 30.2% rise in January, the General Administration of Customs said.
The country's trade surplus widened last month to 224.88 billion yuan ($35.5 billion) from CNY135.79 billion the previous month.
Trade figures in dollars will be released later in the day.
