City of Salem MA : Trash and Recycling Collection Delay - Update

Due to extreme temperatures impacting Waste Management's collection vehicles this week and the winter storm expected tomorrow:

There will be no trash or recycling collected tomorrow, Thursday, January 4th.

Wednesday's route will be collected on Friday, January 5th.

Thursday's route will be collected on Saturday, January 6th.

Friday's route will be collected next Monday, January 8th.

Thank you in advance for your patience. Further updates on possible schedule changes will be provided next week.

As a reminder, no curbside Christmas Tree collection will take place this week. Place your Christmas Tree curbside for your trash collection day the week of January 8th or the week of January 15th.
