Resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors

Bank of Cyprus announces that the Chairman of the Board of
Directors, Mr Theodoros Aristodemou, has submitted today his
resignation from the position of Chairman and member of the
Board of Directors of Bank of Cyprus.
Mr Aristodemou's letter of resignation will be put before the
next meeting of the Board of Directors that will be held
tomorrow, 30 August 2012, in accordance with the Articles of
Association of the Company.
Founded in 1899, the Bank of Cyprus Group is the leading
Cypriot banking and financial services group. In addition to
retail and commercial banking, the Group's activities include
finance, factoring, investment banking, brokerage, fund
management, private banking, life and general insurance. The
