11/8/2012: Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport
suggests Athletic Club want around €22million for
Fernando Llorente. It's claimed Juventus have bid €16m
and the bartering is set to continue. United have also been
linked with the Spain centre-forward on a free transfer
next year as he has turned down a new contract in Bilbao.
El Correo in Bilbao says sources believe a switch
to Italy is most likely despite rival interest from the
Reds, Manchester City and Tottenham.
10/8/2012: The Insider column in the Daily
Mail thinks Sir Alex is exploring a possible raid on
Malaga. It forwards left-back Nacho Monreal and versatile
winger Eliseu as options but then rates the chances of
anything actually happening at only 2/5.
10/8/2012: Roberto Mancini is not happy because he feels
Manchester City have lost out on the signing of Robin van
Persie. The Italian thinks the Gunners captain will either
stay at the Emirates Stadium or move to United.
