MEDIASHIFT STRENGTHENS POSITION AS A DIGITAL ADVERTISING LEADER IN TRAVEL AND HOSPITALITY WITH TWO NEW STRATEGIC HIRES

Seasoned Professionals Tapped to Drive Revenues for Hotel and Airport Network Partners
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., August 22, 2013 - MediaShift, Inc. (OTCBB: MSHF), a leading digital advertising technology company, today announced two strategic hires recruited to lead revenue monetization efforts for its rapidly-growing network of WiFi providers and the operators of private WiFi networks such as hotels and airports.
"MediaShift's hotel and airport partners are a strategic part of our business. The ecosystem we're building with them is critical as the company expands its footprint in travel and hospitality," said Brendon Kensel, president of MediaShift. "Paul and Jacob will be instrumental in providing our network partners new ways to drive revenues and accelerate their growth opportunities. Collectively, they bring a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective on the developments shaping our industry."
Paul Fusco joins MediaShift with more than two decades of digital media experience. As vice president of strategic partnerships, Fusco will be responsible for leading the monetization strategy for partners within the company's premier airport network.
During an accomplished career that spans more than two decades in digital media, Paul Fusco boasts a proven track record in corporate and start-up environments deploying new advertising products and sales programs. Prior to MediaShift, Fusco was senior vice president of sales and business development for Fareportal, a leading travel technology company. In 2010, he launched and built Fareportal Media Group, a new division responsible for the ad operations, advertising and sponsorship sales, and business development, successfully driving monetization efforts across all Fareportal.
Previously, Fusco held various sales executive positions including executive vice president of corporate development for Rocket Racing, Inc.; vice president of global ad sales and partnerships for Oberon Media; and CEO of Desktop News Corporation. Fusco is also a veteran of Ziff-Davis, where he was executive director of sales for 1UP.com for Ziff Davis Media Game Group and national director sales and marketing, CAS division of Ziff-Davis Publishing.
"With its patented technology and robust ad product offerings anchored by depth of digital advertising expertise and relationships, MediaShift has quickly established itself as a trusted revenue partner to leading WiFi providers," said Paul Fusco.
Jacob Kivett will assume the position of director of strategic partnerships and oversee revenue monetization efforts for MediaShift's growing network of more than 5000 hotels. Kivett brings to MediaShift more than 15 years of experience growing account relationships with Fortune
500 clients.
Most recently, Kivett was a senior account manager of global hotel chains at Booking.com, where he built the company's affiliate program in the United States by developing distribution marketing and affiliate programs. He managed relationships with global hotel chains in North America including Hilton, IHG, Marriott and Starwood. Kivett also served as national account manager at Virgin Atlantic Airways and corporate account manager at British Airways where he managed corporate travel contracts with Fortune 100 companies.
"This is an exciting time for digital out-of-home advertising in the travel and hospitality industry, and MediaShift stands at the forefront, capitalizing on its ability to monetize WiFi networks for hotels and airports and to connect brands with travelers," said Jacob Kivett.
