SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2013) - MomentFeed, the marketing platform for the mobile era, today announced it has closed $5.5 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Signia Venture Partners with Draper Nexus, DFJ Frontier, Double M Partners, and Daher Capital also participating. Ed Cluss of Signia Venture Partners will join the company's board of directors.

"As investors, we back early-stage technology companies built around the growth and impact of mobile devices," said Ed Cluss, founding partner at Signia Venture Partners. "MomentFeed exemplifies this strategy by helping brands engage with the mobile consumer through an integrated marketing platform built to drive business results."

The MomentFeed platform is quickly becoming an integral part of the marketing strategies for leading brands including 7-Eleven, JCPenney, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and The Home Depot. Through MomentFeed, global brands are able to manage and execute locally relevant marketing at scale. Marketers can now engage authentically -- through Facebook, Google, Instagram, Yelp, Twitter, Foursquare and other digital channels -- with the unique communities that naturally form around business locations.

"Signia Venture Partners offers MomentFeed a unique combination of operational and investor experience," said MomentFeed CEO Robert Blatt. "The addition of Ed to our board and the continued strong support of our existing investors enable us to scale to meet market demand while continuing to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction."

"The vision for MomentFeed has always been to address the transformation of marketing being driven by the mobile consumer," said Rob Reed, MomentFeed founder. "In this new era, there is now a digital presence for each physical location where consumers spend the majority of their money. We are providing a platform to leverage this new marketing asset so big brands can enjoy all the advantages of a local business with the scale of a national or global footprint. This is the promise of MomentFeed."
