Members of Montgomeryshire NFU Cymru have donated £5,000 to the Montgomeryshire RWAS Feature County Fund.

The presentation took place at the county's annual NFU Cymru conference, held at the Royal Oak, Welshpool.

Robert Jenkins the county's President, who also presented the cheque to Huw Tudor, the treasurer for the Montgomeryshire Feature County Fund, said: 'This donation has been made as it is the centenary year of Montgomeryshire NFU Cymru and Tom Tudor, who is the President for the RWAS Feature County, has previously been Chairman of NFU Cymru in the county. Therefore we wanted to recognise the work Tom has done for NFU Cymru members and the local community over the years.'

The Montgomeryshire Feature County has decided to use the money raised to help improve the facilities for younger members of the RWAS society.
