PCS Edventures : Shareholder Update: Board Appointments

06/27/2014 | 01:29pm US/Eastern

As you know, to operate effectively and to achieve the rapid growth goals that we have set for PCSV, it is important that we rely on the expertise and guidance of our Board of Directors. Having experienced, passionate professionals that are available away from the day-to-day operations to guide the company in strategic matters is crucial to our focus, growth and future success. To further our endeavors, we would like to introduce the two newest members to our Board of Directors, Andrew J. Scoggin and Britt E. Ide.

Andrew J. Scoggin began his career practicing law with a San Francisco law firm and has spent the past twenty years in senior executive management positions with national and regional retail food and drug retailers. He has spent the majority of the last decade working with a large private equity group turning around troubled retail assets and putting them on the path to strong sales growth and profitability. He currently is Executive Vice President of Human Resources & Public Affairs with Albertsons LLC. Mr. Scoggin serves and has served on the Boards of Directors of a number of entrepreneurial companies as well as on the boards and investment committees of several multi-billion dollar pension funds.

Andrew brings financial rigor and an entrepreneurial spirit to PCSV direction and management.

Britt E. Ide has over 20 years experience in business, engineering, and law working for companies including Battelle Memorial Institute, Boise Cascade Corporation, and Albertson's, Inc. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. in Environmental Engineering and has a Juris Doctorate. As a former math and science tutor, Britt is a passionate advocate for engaging kids, especially girls, in STEM education and careers. Britt is President of Ide Law & Strategy, PLLC, a strategic consulting firm. Britt was recently invited by the U.S. Department of Energy's Assistant Secretary of Energy to become an Ambassador of the United States related to the Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) initiative.

Britt brings business acumen, a passion for STEM education, and engineering and legal expertise to PCSV direction and management.

Thanks for supporting PCSV.

All the best,
Jules
