ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., March 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pepper Hamilton LLP announced today that David B. Allen and Derek D. Dundas have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, resident in the Orange County office.

Mr. Allen, previously a partner with K&L Gates, focuses primarily on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters. Mr. Dundas, formerly a partner at Rutan & Tucker, focuses his practice on traditional corporate counseling and mergers and acquisitions work in the emerging-growth business and venture capital areas. Both Allen and Dundas have counseled public and private companies in a variety of industries, and have represented issuers, private equity firms and investment banks in public and private debt and equity offerings.

Allen and Dundas previously practiced together at Latham & Watkins and are enthusiastic about reuniting at Pepper Hamilton. Together, they strengthen the corporate capabilities in Pepper Hamilton’s Southern California offices, while bolstering its firmwide corporate and securities practice.

“David and Derek bring tremendous transactional experience to the firm,” said Sharon Klein, the partner-in-charge of Pepper’s Orange County office. “Their history of practicing together and their understanding of the local market make them ideal additions to our team. Adding corporate capabilities to our Southern California offices is a strategic priority for the firm, and we are thrilled to welcome Derek and David.”

Allen and Dundas will join the more than 90 lawyers in Pepper Hamilton’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group, which advises a broad spectrum of clients.

“We are delighted to be joining a group of attorneys who value exceptional service to their clients, while finding innovative and effective solutions for today’s climate,” said Mr. Allen.

Mr. Dundas added, “We are eager to contribute to the firm’s impressive national corporate and securities practice and strengthen its presence in Southern California.”

Mr. Allen received a B.A. in psychology from Yale University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

Mr. Dundas received a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
