NEWARK, N.J. and SAN DIEGO, Jan. 26, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Phone.com Inc., the pioneering cloud communications services provider, and Sansay™ Inc., the leading provider of high performance, scalable and highly reliable session border controllers and related infrastructure software, announced today the completion of advanced interoperability testing and implementation of the Sansay VSXi Session Border Controller (SBC) environment in Phone.com's network. This deployment delivers significant improvements regarding to Phone.com network’s reliability.

With this advanced solution, Phone.com will continue to expand its customer base in the small to medium business marketplace, and be further able to deliver enhanced service to WebRTC voice markets with Sansay providing session control, security, high availability media handling, transcoding, packet header manipulations, and call routing.

"Sansay will continue to work closely with Phone.com as they grow, to allow them to focus on their customers while knowing their network is protected from external attacks or internal system failures.  With this solid network infrastructure, they can launch innovative new services quickly and at competitive price points," said Andy Voss, CEO at Sansay.

"Phone.com recognized the need to quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively rejuvenate our network environment. Denial of Service attacks, SIP registration floods, and other similar attacks were disrupting the high quality cloud-based communications service customers had come to expect from Phone.com,” said Ari Rabban, CEO of Phone.com. “Sansay was selected as the vendor of choice, and their team immediately joined with Phone.com personnel to test, implement, and fine-tune the systems. It is hard to overstate how important Sansay was to Phone.com, both in the systems provided and the support delivered when needed.”

“Selecting the right network component in today’s environment is a challenging task,” said Jon Arnold, Principal at J Arnold & Associates.  “Issues such as capacity, scalability, and total cost of ownership must be considered. Most importantly,” Arnold concluded, “is the relationship between the provider of the systems and the service provider. Sansay has proven to be more than just a vendor. They are a partner that can be relied upon.”
