collections of web content. The service has a core mission of ensuring
the availability and access of curated web collections specifically
developed to provide continuous, open and multi-generational access.
Affiliating with the team at Reed Tech, Archive-It will materially
expand its capacity to meet the steadily growing and often unique needs
of the cultural heritage market. The Archive-It and Reed Tech teams will
be working closely to broaden visibility including expanded access to a
broader range of organizations and a diverse set of use cases.
"The Archive-It team is excited to collaborate with Reed Tech in ways
that we think will benefit our existing and future partner organization
base," said Kristine Hanna, Director of Archiving Services at Internet
Archive. "Our communities' goals and objectives always come first; and
as their web archiving needs become more nuanced and comprehensive, we
want to continue to deliver an effective and reliable solution that
meets those needs - now and in the future. Joining forces with an
organization like Reed Tech allows us to do just that."
"Reed Tech is honored to be engaged in the alliance supporting and
expanding the Archive-It mission to deliver world class digital
collection and access services to a worldwide portfolio of clients,"
said Dave Ballai, CIO/VP commercial solutions at Reed Tech. "The
business combination expands the range of capabilities for further
developing and delivering the Archive-It service to a steadily growing
array of cultural heritage institutions."
