Rocketmiles : Launches New Partnership With Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan(TM)

07/17/2014 | 09:00am US/Eastern

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jul 17, 2014) - Rocketmiles announced it has entered into an agreement with Alaska Airlines that will enable Mileage Plan™ members to earn thousands of Mileage Plan™ Miles on hotel bookings in the United States and throughout the world. Starting July 17th, Mileage Plan™ members can earn 1,000 to 5,000 miles for each hotel night booked. Rocketmiles features handpicked hotels in hotspots around the globe, ranging from value priced properties to luxury resorts.

Launched in April 2013, Rocketmiles is a rapidly growing hotel booking site that helps consumers get on vacation faster by earning an average of 7,000 Mileage Plan™ Miles per booking, or about 10-20x the typical incentive.

"For 25 million people worldwide, loyalty programs enable vacation travel -- this could mean fishing in Fairbanks, surfing in San Diego, or relaxing in Riviera Maya. Our goal is to make that vacation happen faster," said Jay Hoffmann, CEO of Rocketmiles. "Based on our proprietary data, the average traveler stands to earn about 80,000 extra miles per year if they use Rocketmiles for their hotel bookings. We are excited about working with Alaska Airlines to help their customers reach their vacation goals faster."

"Mileage Plan members have the world at their fingertips with our 14 partner airlines around the globe and more than 700 award destinations to choose from," said Caroline Boren, Alaska Airlines' Managing Director of Loyalty Marketing and Customer Care. "Our customers discover amazing places with their Mileage Plan™ miles, and we're delighted that our partnership with Rocketmiles will help them reach new adventures even faster."

As a special launch promotion for Mileage Plan™ members, first-time Rocketmiles users will get an additional 3,000 bonus miles, on top of the thousands of regular miles earned. Visit http://www.rocketmiles.com/alaskaair-3k-bonus.
