The people have voted and it is now official, Donald Trump is the 45th President of the United States. Markets seem to be holding on fine even though tensions and uncertainties during the counting of votes. The coming FED meeting on December the 14th will certainly be the last marking event of 2016 probability planning on rising its interest rate, already relatively high (currently at over 70%). These coming weeks should bring opportunities to investors.

Nevertheless, we remain cautious during the start of this “Trumpism” period. As the candidate and now President told it, this event is a Brexit x3, which inspire us to act with even more caution. In such event, it will be wise to invest in qualitative stocks with strong fundamentals. For this reason, we have identified for you the strongest US stocks to detain at the moment. Why would you pass on opportunities given by the most prominent stock market on the planet ?

S&P500 in weekly data since january 2014

Regardless of the election’s result, the US stock market is held by a strong economy:

The rise of interest rates last December was the beginning of the US economy recovery with the improvement of its fundamentals (rising employment rate, unemployment rate at its lowest, 5% and rising salaries).

The dollar remains an undeniable “safe heaven”.

Yield stock profits being the opposite of the price/earnings ratio, as the S&P500 is currently trading at 19x its earnings, yields should be around 9.5%. Inversely, 10 years US Treasury bonds yields currently is 1.8%.
