The casting work of the first Y-shaped column of fair-faced concrete for Oran Stadium was completed by Algerian Branch of the 22nd China Metallurgical Construction Group (22MCC Group) on June 18, 2012. This stadium, with a capacity of 40,000 seats, is contracted by 22MCC Group.
As the largest EPC works contracted by 22MCC Group in foreign countries, Oran Stadium will be established into a venue for the high standard international sport events, in accordance with the European standards, in the North of Africa. After completion, it will turn out to be the largest stadium in this country. With regard to the 53/D-axis Y-shaped column in E Zone, the casting surface has a large angle of inclination (45°- 60°) with the ground level like a inverted triangle, and the hoping density is 20-30mm. In this view, it is very difficult for concrete vibrating. Furthermore, according to the quality and technological requirements, the moulding and surface quality shall meet the relevant standards for the fair-faced concrete.
Basing upon the on-site conditions and the construction experiences accumulated in past years, the staff of Algerian Branch of 22MCC Group fulfilled the casting work for the first column of fair-faced concrete for Oran Stadium within a period of over 4 hours.
