STOCKHOLM, May 14 (Reuters) - Around half of Chinese e-car imports come from Western manufacturers, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Tuesday when asked to weigh in on the debate of possible EU tariffs on electric vehicles from China.

"It should not be forgotten that there are so many overlaps and mutual exchanges," he said in response to a reporter's question on the issue at a press conference in Stockholm. (Reporting by Andreas Rinke, Writing by Rachel More in Berlin, Editing by Madeline Chambers)
