MediaMarkt and energy company Essent have joined forces to help consumers with the energy transition. Essent will have shop-in-shops on the store floor of the electronics chain. These will focus on energy-efficient products for making the home more sustainable.

Consumers can view and experience products, receive personal advice and obtain information, even if they do not have an energy contract with Essent. The goal is to equip 47 of the 55 MediaMarkt stores in the Netherlands with a shop-in-shop before the summer vacations. The rollout started in March and currently 18 stores are already equipped.

The shop-in-shops set up by MediaMarkt and Essent are a combination of an interactive and a personal approach. The digital experience is combined with Essent advisors who can help consumers on the spot so they can make an informed choice. In the new specially designed store area, consumers can see, feel and experience how more energy-efficient products help them to have a more sustainable household and save on energy bills.

The range of more energy-efficient products and solutions ranges from solar panels and home insulation to more energy-efficient home appliances and charging stations for electric cars. The assortment of shop-in-shops is continuously supplemented with more energy-efficient products and technologies.
