FRANKFURT (Reuters) - German utility E.ON sees upside potential in its targeted investments in electricity distribution grids, its chief financial officer said in an earnings call with analysts on Wednesday.

"There is room for more (in our investment plans), if economic conditions are right," CFO Marc Spieker said, when asked about investment targets being developed by grid operators together with the national regulator overseeing the sector.

But while there is a big technical potential, there are also practical constraints, especially on the permitting side, he added.
