The Fund seeks to provide a high level of current income by investing primarily in below investment-grade fixed income instruments of issuers located around the world, including emerging markets. The Fund invests in high yield bonds, which are subject to greater credit and market risks, including greater risk of default; derivative securities, which may carry market, credit and liquidity risks; foreign securities, which are subject to currency fluctuation and political uncertainty, and emerging markets securities, which are subject to greater volatility and price declines. The Fund invests in various sectors, including cable and satellite, energy - upstream, retailers and restaurants, gaming and lodging and leisure, and consumer non-cyclical.
