Structure, now part of Accenture (NYSE:ACN), has been named Energy Risk magazine’s Technology Advisory Firm of the Year for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year.

Structure received the award based on its performance in 2014, including a growing presence in the North American midstream natural gas sector, its support with executing the regional expansion and start-up plans of several global commodity trading firms and its development of tailored solutions for a growing number of asset-centric power trading clients. Structure also expanded its pre-implementation work, offering wide-ranging strategic advisory services, adding insight and depth to its implementation work.

Also during 2014, Structure continued to increase its depth of implementation expertise in commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) software solutions across all major and complementary vendors and assisted more than 30 clients on projects.

The Accenture acquisition of Structure, which closed in January 2015, added Structure’s deep skills in commodities trading and risk management to help clients optimize their assets and commercial portfolios in natural gas, electric power, solid fuels, chemicals and petroleum.

“Our focus over the past year has continued to be to enhance the breadth of our services, said Baris Ertan, managing director and CTRM global lead, Accenture. “By joining with Accenture, we have a platform to be the global market leader in CTRM strategy, consulting and operations by readily providing advisory and implementation services for energy and other commodity trading organizations, regardless of size and geographic location.”

“When it comes to advising on some of the most important IT projects carried out in the energy industry, one company’s name comes up time and time again,” said Mark Pengelly, the Editor of Energy Risk. “We are pleased to honour Structure with Energy Risk’s prestigious Technology Advisory House of the Year Award.”
