Seasoned Human Resources Executive Brings 20 Years of Industry Experience

MELBOURNE, Australia, 26 July 2016 ‒ Aconex Limited (ASX: ACX), provider of a leading cloud and mobile collaboration platform for the global construction industry, today announced the appointment of Ilona Charles as chief people officer. She will be responsible for all human resources functions at the company, including recruitment and retention, learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity, and corporate culture.

Ms. Charles has over 20 years of experience in transformation, change and human resources across the telecommunications, health and financial services industries. Before joining Aconex, she was executive director of human resources for Telstra's Retail division, which employs over 10,000 people in Australia and the Philippines. At Telstra, she successfully oversaw the completion of 15 acquisitions and joint ventures for Telstra Health and established an innovative design lab for employees called Customer Central. Previously, Ms. Charles was group executive, people and performance, at Medibank Private, provider of health insurance and health services to more than 30% of the Australian population. Earlier in her career, she held general management positions in human resources and transformation at National Australia Bank (NAB).

Ms. Charles has served on several subsidiary boards. She is currently a member of the Human Resources Advisory Board at Deakin University in Melbourne and of the Judicial Entitlements Panel for the Victorian State Government. Ms. Charles holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Swinburne University and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Latrobe University. She is also a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
