Digital inkjet printing is continuously growing in a broad range of applications with new printing systems from various OEMs and system integrators. Agfa Graphics is driving this transition with its high-performance UV-curable inks.
Agfa Graphics' UV-curable inks are now available for system integrators, OEMs and other manufacturing specialists. The Agfa inks come in a variety of different formulations, researched and developed for specific market sectors and printing systems, and related to print-head, curing systems and application related specifications. Each product is designed for optimum productivity without compromise, with particular emphasis on offering the best substrate compatibility, jetting performance and reliability, along with cost-effective consumption and very high quality results.
The extensive line of Agora and Altamira inks is comprised of inks for wide format printing (multi-pass) and single pass printing, targeted to many specific applications, including marking and coding, decoration printing, label printing, packaging printing, object printing and a wide variety of other industrial applications.
In the wide format printing area, Agfa Graphics has developed ink sets specifically for use with LED curing lamps. These lamps offer energy saving and environmental benefits, and their low heat generation plus compact size make them ideal for use on small as well as larger format devices.
Agfa Graphics is using its 100+ years competence in chemistry, color, rheology, pigment dispersions and formulations to design inks for the specific wavelength spectrum required with LED UV lamps. Together with its expertise in ink tuning to the print system, the company continues to improve and develop inks in a direct relationship with the OEM or system integrator working with LED curing technology. This results in high-performance inks with very consistent batch-to-batch quality, designed to perform at their best every time in the specific application and printing system.
Agfa Graphics recently presented itself as a key supplier to the inkjet printing industry at the IMI Inkjet Technology Showcase in Barcelona, and will be exhibiting at FESPA 2013 in London on stand C30S where visitors can meet ink experts and discuss their OEM requirements.
