"Newspapers are continuously seeking new ways of improving efficiency in their print production while meeting a variety of future digital challenges. Agfa Graphics caters to all their needs", said Stefaan Vanhooren, President, Agfa Graphics. "More than half of the world's newspapers printed every day are produced with total solutions developed by Agfa Graphics, be it printing plates, imaging equipment or prepress workflows, mobile publishing and cloud software. At the World Publishing Expo 2014 we will once again highlight our dedication to newspaper print and mobile publishing and present the latest innovations in this field."
Mobile Publishing. Delivered in One Touch.
Mobile or Print? Mobile and Print, of course! Agfa Graphics offers the best of both worlds. With the emphasis on branding and reading experience, Eversify automates the delivery of newspaper or magazine content to tablets and smartphones in interactive, entertaining mobile editions, day after day.
As it comes as a Software-as-a-Service solution, Eversify offers fast start-up and a predictable operational cost, without extra investments in server hardware or extensive training. Robust and secure, it integrates seamlessly into existing publishing systems. Advanced analytics are included to give publishers extensive reporting on editions, articles and advertising.
Print Production Solutions. Sustainable and productive.
At WPE 2014, Agfa Graphics will introduce the latest generation of its Advantage N platesetters, focusing on increased productivity to handle tight deadlines with even greater flexibility. All Advantage N units feature violet-laser imaging technology and handle both conventional processing as well as violet chemistry-free plates.
In addition, Agfa Graphics will unveil Attiro, a groundbreaking ecological prepress concept for the high end of the newspaper printing market, which will bring substantial ecological benefits in terms of waste and maintenance savings, and has been tested at large sites in Europe over the past months.
N94-VCF chemistry-free printing plates combine outstanding quality with easy handling and excellent durability. As a chemistry-free plate doesn't need developer, one of the main variables affecting image consistency disappears. Other advantages include substantial water and maintenance savings. The N94-VCF plates work with all mainstream violet CtP units and boast stable and quick imaging as well as consistent and high performance on press.
Arkitex Production is the powerful workflow suite automating newspaper production. It allows publishers to operate more efficiently and meet ever-tightening deadlines with ease. It manages production from the publisher to the printer including planning, file delivery, preflighting, approval, ripping, imposition, device management and multi-site distribution.
Complementing Arkitex Production is the Arkitex Enhance range of advanced add-on products. These include a.o. Intellitune for multi-channel newspaper image processing, OptiInk for maximum ink saving, and Analyst to capture, analyze and optimize daily production…
In the cloud - Why invest in costly hardware and IT?
Agfa Graphics' dedicated cloud infrastructure enables newspapers to streamline their production flows for print and mobile publishing in the cloud, be it a private or a public one. Cloud solutions not only reduce costs, they are also faster, more reliable and more secure.
Visit Agfa Graphics at WPE2014 in hall 9 booth 9.240 of the RAI in Amsterdam to discuss your challenges concerning mobile publishing and/or print production with top experts.
