28 May 2009 - Aker Solutions has been awarded the contract for
replacement of the anodic heat exchangers of the second gas cleaning
plant at Codelco's El Teniente mine in Chile.  El Teniente is the
world's largest underground copper mine. Aker Solutions' contract
value is USD 1.9 million.

Aker Solutions'  operation in  Chile  will provide  the  engineering,
procurement  and   construction  services,   whilst  its    Chemetics
operation in Toronto, Canada will fabricate and provide the equipment
required for the  replacement of  the anodic heat  exchangers in  the
Caletones smelter at the El Teniente plant.

The project is scheduled to complete the construction phase in the
third quarter of 2009.
