18 December 2009 ? Shell has awarded Aker Solutions an engineering, procurement,
construction and installation (EPCI) contract for a produced water re-injection
system on Draugen. The scope for Aker Solutions also includes prefabrication and
commissioning assistance. Aker Solutions estimates the contract value to be
approximately NOK 200 million.

Aker Solutions secured a frame agreement for maintenance and modifications for
Shell on their Norwegian Portfolio in 2005. The produced water re-injection
contract is a call-off from the existing  modifications and maintenance support
contract Aker Solutions has with Shell.

"This project is interesting for Aker Solutions both from a technological and
environmental perspective. We are pleased to demonstrate that the scope of work
falls well within our core competence. We are looking forward to take on this
project and always strive to be a preferred partner for Shell in the North Sea
", says Stian Vemmestad, President of Maintenance, Modifications and Operations
in Aker Solutions.

The Draugen field is an oilfield located in the Norwegian Sea, operated by
Shell. The operational organisation for the Draugen field is in Kristiansund and
both Shell and Aker Solutions has built up a considerable regional capacity in
this region.

Work under the contract starts immediately and will be completed in January
2012.

The contract parties are Aker Solutions' subsidiary Aker Offshore Partner AS and
Royal Dutch Shell.
