Victoria Prentis, Member of Parliament for North Oxfordshire, today (23 February) visited Banbury to officially open specialist bank, Aldermore's, new offices at Blenheim Court, George Street.

Hosted by Andrew Dixon, Commercial Director for Specialist Finance at Aldermore, the local MP was shown around the new offices and met the Relationship Management and Sales teams.

Aldermore initially opened an office in Banbury in 2014, employing four members of staff to launch its Specialist Finance offering. Since then, the Bank's presence has increased considerably and it now employs 32 people in its new offices.

The move to the spacious new office location has already seen the team expand further with four new jobs created this year so far. This is set to continue as demand for the Bank's products and services continues to grow. The Banbury office will also welcome its first Specialist Finance apprentice later this year.

In 2016, Aldermore was named Oxfordshire employer of the year nominated by employees, as the best place to work in the area.

Andrew Dixon, Commercial Director said: 'I am delighted to welcome Victoria to our new office here in Banbury. We are continuing to recruit and have already welcomed a number of new people to the team this year, and are very much looking forward to the arrival of our division's first apprentice this year. Aldermore is very proud of the growing support we are providing to businesses across the UK, helping them to seize new opportunities and achieve their goals. Small and medium-sized businesses are the driver of the economy and it is vital that they receive the funding they need to succeed.'

Victoria Prentis, Member of Parliament for North Yorkshire, commented: 'We have a thriving economy here in Banbury so it is great to see Aldermore choosing the town for its new office which will support individuals and businesses alike. It was a pleasure to be at the opening and meet the new staff. As we approach national apprenticeship week, it is good that they will be taking on a Specialist Finance apprentice in the coming months.'

Established in 2009, Aldermore has grown significantly and at the end of September 2017, total lending to customers stood at £8.4 billion.
