SANFORD, Fla. Dec. 3, 2016 - Allegiant(NASDAQ: ALGT) today magically transported approximately 150 Florida Hospital for Children cancer patients to the North Pole to celebrate the holidays. The event was held in partnership with Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Airports Worldwide.

'Allegiant is very excited to be a part of this special day for the children of Florida Hospital for Children by 'flying' them to the North Pole on an Allegiant aircraft,' said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. 'Our team members are proud to participate in this opportunity to give back to the community, and we all hope the children have a fantastic experience.'

The simulated flight was operated by Allegiant pilots and flight attendants while the aircraft 'flew' to meet Santa Claus at the festively-decorated Million Air lounge. Each child was provided a gift courtesy of SFB. The festivities also included live music, food, an ice cream truck, a firetruck, a helicopter and more.

Allegiant began service from Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) in 2005 with service from 15 cities. Since then, the airline has added flights and now operates more than 70 routes and has flown more than 14.3 million passengers through Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB).
