Amer Sports published its first Non-financial information (NFI) statement in April 2018. We asked Tea Lindfors, Senior Sustainability Partner, a couple of questions about its content and background.

What is the purpose of the NFI statement?

Non-financial information (NFI) statement provides information about environmental, social and employee matters, respect for human rights, as well as anti-corruption and bribery matters. Starting this year, the NFI statement is required by law and it has been reviewed and signed by the Board of Directors.

How would you describe the content of the NFI statement?

The content of the statement gives understanding about the Group's development, performance and position as well as the impact of its activities relating to environmental, social and employee matters, respect for human rights, as well as anti-corruption and bribery matters.

While the NFI statement is mandatory and requires companies to report about their developments on the given areas, companies can choose which areas they focus on in their reporting, and include also the related KPIs.

How does the statement differ from the Corporate Responsibility Reports published in 2014-2016?

The NFI statement provides focused information about the key areas in a more compact format than the previously published Corporate Responsibility Reports.

The reports covered wider areas that are considered to be in the scope of Corporate Responsibility, e.g. initiatives in communities, sports and exercise, and local environmental projects.

How do you see the future of reporting about the Corporate Responsibility?

Amer Sports will continue to communicate about its initiatives in the area of corporate responsibility at www.amersports.com/responsibility, providing cases and stories about various development projects.
