New Jersey American Water President Joins United Way's Local Operating Board VOORHEES, N.J. (August 28, 2014) - United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) recently appointed William Varley, president of New Jersey American Water, to its Local Operating Board in Camden County. Varley's experience in business, administration and leadership will help promote the advancement of UWGPSNJ's work in Camden County.

As a member of UWGPSNJ's Local Operating Board, Varley will play a vital role in United Way's volunteer structure, developing and executing the local impact agenda, organizing and running campaigns, community engagement, and volunteerism efforts for the local communities they serve.
"Bill is eager to contribute his time, talent and experience to help expand United Way's work to drive measurable, lasting impact that none of us can achieve alone," said Mike Moynihan, executive director of UWGPSNJ in Camden County.
UWGPSNJ is locally governed in order to engage its communities, identify significant local issues, and develop strategies to address them. The volunteers on United Way's boards combine their passion to serve, experience and leadership to strengthen communities throughout the region.
