VOORHEES, N.J. (December 22, 2016) - New Jersey American Water will be installing approximately $403,000 of new water mains on Valley View Road from Mountain Avenue to Wells Lane in Warren Township. The roughly 1,700 feet of new 12-inch ductile iron will improve water service reliability and increase water flows for household consumption and fire protection.

Work has already started and will continue Mondays through Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work on weekends and evenings is not expected unless required to maintain the project schedule.

Weather permitting, the project should be completed in about two weeks. Final paving and restoration will be completed in the spring/summer of 2017.

Traffic control will be coordinated with the Warren Township Police Department. Service for trash, mail, school buses and emergency vehicles will be maintained during traffic disruptions. New Jersey American Water advises pedestrians and drivers to take caution in the vicinity of the work sites, obey traffic signs and follow any detour routes when driving in the area.

Customers may experience a slight temporary discoloration of water. If this happens, customers are advised to let a cold water tap in the home run until it is clear.
