Anite's interoperability and performance test solution (SAS) is recognised for leading TD-LTE features

Anite, a global leader in wireless equipment testing technology, today announced that it was presented with a second Innovation Award at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 by the Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI) in recognition of its outstanding contribution to TD-LTE development. This year's award is for Anite's interoperability and performance test solution (SAS), used by leading mobile operators and device manufacturers to accelerate the evaluation and launch of new devices.

Anite's SAS was recently selected by a major Chinese mobile operator for its TD-LTE device acceptance programme. As TD-LTE is deployed across China, the industry's focus is on quality of service and the need for performance testing, including verifying voice quality. SAS enables users to conduct detailed IMS/VoLTE testing against specific mobile operators' requirements. In addition, precise, automated and repeatable performance testing measures and optimises data throughput, impact of signalling and antenna performance.

Paul Beaver, Products Director at Anite, accepted the award at a GTI event during MWC 2014, 'We are honoured to receive this prestigious GTI Test System Innovation Award. Working closely with the key industry players within the TD-LTE industry ecosystem highlights Anite's pivotal role in one of the most exciting and rapidly growing global markets.'

As the only vendor with a live product demonstration at the GTI Workshop, which preceded MWC 2014, Anite showcased its SAS VoLTE solution to the TD-LTE community. Anite's wide range of performance testing solutions were on display at MWC 2014, including its enhanced Propsim channel emulator platform, which further increases the performance testing capacity of LTE-Advanced multi-mode chipsets, devices and base stations.
