Westborough, MA - 15 April 2014 - Anoto, a global leader in digital writing solutions, today announced that it has achieved compliancy for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Anoto is now qualified to offer Anoto Live™ forms as a hosted or locally installed solution to the US healthcare market.
HIPAA compliancy means Anoto Inc. has implemented the processes and procedures to regulate the interchange of protected health information (PHI) in order to prevent unlawful disclosure or release of patient information.
Anoto's digital writing technology is being used by healthcare organizations across the globe to record and transmit patient information securely without the fear of information being compromised. Anoto Live™ Forms uses encryption technologies to ensure the information recorded by the Anoto digital pen is secure from point of capture to delivery to the healthcare providers' electronic medical record (EMR) system.
"Achieving HIPAA compliancy is one of the most important steps to solidify our position as a credible solutions provider into the US Healthcare Market," said Stein Revelsby, CEO at Anoto Group. "Meeting the stringent set of requirements to achieve compliancy allows us to better serve our customers and partners in the USA and enables us to follow the strategy we have set out."
