Arthur J Gallagher : Hires New Chief Information Officer

ITASCA, Ill., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. today announces that Sean P. Connelly has joined the company as its Global Chief Information Officer. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company's global technology strategy and initiatives, overseeing the development and deployment of enterprise-wide standards for applications and infrastructure, and aligning IT objectives and programs with corporate strategies. He replaces Eric C. Dean, who is retiring in June.

Mr. Connelly will focus on streamlining IT infrastructure, processes and operations to achieve efficiencies, and support the company's acquisition strategy and rapid growth, while ensuring consistent service levels and operational reliability across the global enterprise. He will report to Douglas K. Howell, Gallagher's Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Connelly has held CIO roles within the financial services industry for nearly two decades. He spent the last 14 years with Guggenheim Partners LLC, a global investment and advisory firm in Chicago, where he also served as Senior Managing Director. Prior to that, he served as CIO for Related Payroll Services in Oakbrook, Illinois, a payroll processing firm, and for Amerin Guaranty Corporation in Chicago, a mortgage insurance provider.
