UTair Aviation is the first among Russia passenger airlines to integrate the automated Lido Flight Planning system into its operations. This innovative system, developed by Lufthansa Systems, is an advance flight and air traffic control support solution already in use by over 60 global airlines.

The Lido Flight Planning system significantly enhances the quality of planning and decision making for air crews, to automatically take the aircraft condition into consideration during flight planning, to optimize airline costs related to the cost components of a flight, and to decrease СО2 emissions.

The automated LFL analyses the actual meteorological and aeronautical conditions along the flight path in interactive mode and timely informs the airline's flight control center about changes and response options.

'The implementation of innovative solutions is a part of UTair's program for enhancing efficiency,' said UTair Passenger Airlines President Alexey Budnik. 'The Lido Flight Planning system is one of the best flight planning solutions on the global market today. This system will allow us to have a better control over operational costs and to increase fleet efficiency. The solution offers a very important feature - flexibility. This feature is configured individually for the airline and can be synchronized with other tools used by UTair for fight planning.'

According to Lufthansa Systems experts, the integration of the Lido Flight Planning system will generate economic advantages for UTair through decreased operational costs and cost optimization of aircraft amortization
