Acquisition of HDI-Gerling Assurances in Luxembourg completed

Basel, 4 September 2015. Bâloise Luxembourg has received approval from the insurance regulator in Luxembourg for its acquisition of HDI-Gerling Assurances SA. Announced on 4 August 2015, the acquisition of the Luxembourg-based non-life insurer by Baloise was completed on 3 September 2015.

The Baloise Group is buying HDI-Gerling Assurances from HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG, part of Germany's Talanx Group. Bâloise Assurances Luxembourg expects the acquisition to be integrated swiftly. All employees of HDI-Gerling Luxembourg will be retained.
