The bank has undertaken a complete redesign of its mobile banking operations, with new features and an innovative, intuitive and flexible design.

Bankinter has been offering its customers access to their bank accounts and financial and stock operations via mobile since 2005.

Today Bankinter has launched a new and more advanced version of its "mobile bank" service, which is now ten years old. It is specially designed to take advantage of all of the technological potential of the latest smartphones and tablets.

Bankinter has worked on this new version of the mobile banking service over the last year, improving and expanding the currently available operational possibilities. It now sports a new design with more simple, speedy and intuitive navigation. The customer experience is also optimised, with greater control and closer real-time monitoring of their personal finances anywhere they go.

For example, customers will now be able to display a summary of their positions in the bank, with the possibility of accessing their more frequent transactions at the touch of a button, including contextualised options related to the information being displayed.

The new application allows customers to send periodic domestic and international bank transfers and easily obtain information on the different financial products they have contracted (investment funds, deposits, cards...), with the possibility of displaying more detailed information on each.

Among other new features, there is also a push notifications service for devices, allowing notifications to be customised by the user, replacing the current SMS notification system. With this service, customers will be advised of any transaction or charge in their accounts or cards as soon as it happens.

The new application will also include an exclusive space for communication with the customer called "conversation" where, in addition to having access to all of these messages, the customer will be able to directly contact their personal manager and access the financial news included in the Bankinter Blog.

Bankinter anticipates the inclusion of new features in this service, such as the contracting of investment or loan products.

Bankinter pioneered mobile financial and stock operations in Europe, having offered them since 2005. Throughout this time the service's number of users has only risen, reaching 25.9% penetration among the bank's customers. Over the last year Bankinter has increased its mobile banking user base by 20% as compared to the previous year, reaching 160,000 active customers using this technology with some frequency. These data provide an idea of the uptake of this service by Bankinter customers and the high usage rate of new technological devices to access it.
