Effective April 29, 2016, Waldemar Helber joins the Supervisory Board of BASF SE as employee representative. He succeeds elected substitute member Wolfgang Daniel, who retired from the Supervisory Board following the Annual Shareholders' Meeting on April 29, 2016.

Helber is Vice Chairman of the Works Council at BASF SE. He joined BASF in 1972 and trained as a high-voltage electrician. Helber has been a member of the Works Council since 2003.
