Best Buy Canada has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2018.

The company was selected as part of a national competition to highlight employers who offer exceptional workplaces for their employees. The top 100 employers were announced in a special feature of The Globe and Mailmagazine.

Best Buy Canada was measured against other organizations on criteria including, physical workspace, work atmosphere, benefits, employee communication,

performance management, training development, and community involvement.

For example, the company got an A+ for employee engagement and performance.

'We've focused a lot on engagement and culture, and we try to listen to our people and move the organization forward based on their feedback,' said Chris Taylor, Best Buy Canada's chief human resources officer. 'Acknowledging hard-working, caring employees has been very powerful for us and we're unashamed to give massive amounts of recognition.'

This is the 18 year the list has been released. It is compiled by Mediacorp Canada Inc., the nation's largest publisher of employment periodicals. The company said a record number of employers took part in the selection process this year.
