MEDIA RELEASE Billabong named Australia's best brand - again

GOLD COAST June 13th 2015: Billabong has been named both Men's and Women's Brand of the Year for the second successive year at the Australian Surf Industry Awards.
Billabong also took out the inaugural award for Swimwear Brand of the Year along with both the Men's and Women's Marketing Campaign of the Year awards.
"For the first time these awards have been judged entirely by retailers," said Global Billabong Brand President Shannan North. "In a hugely competitive retail market we're stoked at the recognition that one of surfing's true heritage brands remains Australia's best brand."
"Winning both the Swimwear and Women's Marketing award on the back of the new
'Bikini Kinda Life' campaign is also welcome recognition of the efforts the team have
put in both locally and globally and reflects the positive trends we're seeing in this category," said Shannan.
Hosted by the SBIA (Surf & Boardsports Industry Association) on the Gold Coast, the awards celebrated the industry's best product, brands and retailers for the last 12 months.
Billabong's sales team also took out gongs for Sales Office of the Year and South-East
Queensland Sales Rep of the Year for Simon Bonny.
"From design, through to marketing and frontline sales, these awards highlight the great breadth and depth of talent within the Australian team," said Asia Pacific General Manager Paul Burdekin. "We'll continue to work with our customers and focus on our core market to keep brand Billabong in its premier position."
