BOCHK Will Bring Apple Pay To Cardholders Plans to Offer the Easy, Secure & Private Way to Pay

BOC Credit Card, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of China (Hong Kong) ("BOCHK") and one of the major card issuers in Hong Kong, will bring its cardholders Apple Pay, which transforms mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay that's fast and convenient, this summer.

BOC Credit Card has been proactively developing its electronic channels and mobile payment solutions with product and service innovation in order to cater to the different financial needs and lifestyles of cardholders. With Apple Pay, BOC Credit Cardholders will be able to enjoy a fast, convenient and secure mobile payment service.

Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.

Ms Kamill Fung, Deputy General Manager of BOC Credit Card (International) Limited, said, "BOC Credit Card will enhance its digital payment services through the deployment of breakthrough contactless payment technology, and we are excited to bring Apple Pay to BOC Credit Cardholders this summer. With Apple Pay, BOC Credit Cardholders will have a more convenient and secure way to make purchases in stores and within apps, transforming the way they pay every day."

Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards. In participating stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE and Apple Watch.

Online shopping in apps accepting Apple Pay is simple, without needing to repeatedly fill out lengthy account forms or type in shipping and billing information. When paying for goods and services within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro.
